Giving Up

"The biggest mistake is you think you have the time." - Buddha.

Happy Tuesday!

There is no doubt that the holiday season, that seemed to start crazily back somewhere in October this year is now fully upon us.

This season can come with many fun and joy filled elements and, it can also bring an ache to our hearts that some days can seem to come out of the blue.

Since this holiday season is all around being with those we love, when those we love are not around it can tug at our hearts in the opposite direction. I noticed as I put up Christmas decorations over the weekend the memories that came swelling up in my heart.

Pictures and ornaments the kids had made when they were little, gifts that had come from my mom, the list went on and on. And for me right now I found myself, even though my kids will not be home for the holidays, with a peace in my heart. A peace in knowing that along my way I have been blessed with the giving and receiving of love.

Guess you could say after years of feeling a deep sense of loss over the holidays for what could never be again, I have come to appreciate that those times even happened to begin with. Mixed with that is an overall feeling of knowing what will be will be.

Because one thing I know for sure at this stage of my life is that you simply can’t live in the past. As cliché as it might sound, all we have is the reality in the joys we can create for ourselves today, and the hope for an even happier tomorrow. That’s where the peace comes into play.

Today has become known over the years as Giving Tuesday. And with that I want to share with you the idea of giving up. And no, I am not talking about quitting and moving on. I am sharing with you the idea of giving in order to move up the joy elements of your life as you make a difference in the lives of others.

As a small businessperson I thought a lot about how I wanted to participate in holiday promotions this year and how I could give upwards and here is what I arrived on:

This past year I created a planner with an accompanying online coaching program to go with it called the Grow Planner. We are at the time of this year that gives us only about 34 more days until the start of a brand new year.

The idea behind the Grow Planner is to have you planning elements into your life yearly, monthly, weekly and daily to help to bring more joy into your life. To replace the to do’s with ta da’s. Elements that actually will take you where you want to go, versus where you have to go. This is what will enable you to fully grow.

I explain more in this week’s Morning Momentum video in how having a plan you can look at every morning can serve you well.

I want to offer you the Grow Planner with the Grow Sessions online coaching program for 50% off the already low price of $49. My only request is that you “give up” by giving the $25 savings to a charity of your choice during this season of giving.

Order Here The coupon code is PLANFOR2024.

This offer is good through this Friday, December 1st which will then give you 31 full days to create your Grow Plan for 2024.

Living in regret is no way to live. Planning for what you really want to see in your todays and tomorrows makes all the difference in the world.

So, what do you think? Are you in? Would love to know what charity you want to give to this season remembering that giving is the foundation of the season.
