Perfectly Polished

“You don’t have to polish the doorknob for so long that you forget to open the door.” - Taylor Swift

Happy Monday,

Have you ever polished something whether figuratively or actually? Over and over and over again trying to get the said project, idea or creative endeavor just perfect.

Perfect is defined as “having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.”

One thing for sure while perfect is awesome whenever that impossible nirvana comes to be, it sure can gobble up our time and keep us from launching towards whatever it is we are hoping to achieve.

“Just one more polish, that’s all it needs.”

Perfectionism can be the best friend of our procrastinator keeping us spinning it seems sometimes in circles.

I feel like I have been polishing over and over and over again when it comes to the creative juncture my life is heading in.

And with that I feel that polishing towards perfection has also had me learning a ton about what I actually want to create. I think the key is getting the work out there when it’s as good as you can get in the moment.

I feel that way with my new Grow You endeavors on You Tube. I have had some hits and some misses and then last week actually had 500 people view my video on Geraniums in a couple of days.

That reaction gave me the hope to keep polishing as I let go one video at a time.

Last week’s Live Book Chat on You Tube, while not perfect (as lives go) taught me a few things I will take into the next one, and the next one.

How about you, what is that you are polishing that you are ready to release in the world? What if this is the week you made it happen?

I am here cheering you on!

Have a great week.
