The discussion we have been having this month on the Master Mind Principle of Accurate Thinking would not be complete without discussing the value of having a thinking spot to call your own.

The kind of spot that takes you from being fully present in your own mind today right into imagining your possibilities for tomorrow.

This summer I have been spending many hours in a new thinking spot for me. After moving my business home to figure the next best move for my business, I have been a bit cramped in my home office. Over the summer I have expanded to what was currently the “pool house” that has now become my “playhouse” - a great little get away spot for me.

With barely enough room to walk around in it, there was enough room to add a cool wood table desk, a comfy rolling chair, and a bookshelf - along with some of my favorite pictures and nick-knacks. This space has since then been a wonderful spot for me to create and think differently. Outside the doors that are usually wide open sits my garden… my other thinking spot.

What is your favorite thinking spot?  You know, the place that allows you to bring ideas to life or perhaps add new twists to previous ideas…your own little thinking laboratory.  Share with me over on that blog as well as check out some pictures of my thinking spot.

For those of us of the entrepreneurial persuasion it is essential that we give our ideas the space and room to grow.  To allow for us to manifest our hopes, wants, and dreams along with those of the people we serve, in order to bring them better products and services.  Giving us the time to clear out the mind from the clutter of the thoughts that currently is no longer serving anyone – most especially ourselves.

With one of the busiest seasons of the year coming up, what is the current thinking that you need to get done? How will you find the time and the space to fully understand what will move you forward - as opposed to living in yesterday - as Babe Ruth so beautifully shared in this week’s quote.

These thoughts, along with the time we honor in giving to them, is what can give us the quintessential forward momentum that is so required and necessary for ultimate success… victory!

I urge you to not take this lightly – perhaps you think better with others such as we do in our Victory Circle Master Minds, perhaps you think better while running or hiking, perhaps you think better during early morning meditation (I love to start my day that way). Would love for you to share in the comment section below where your favorite thinking spot is!

And finally I will leave you with this quote from Steve Jobs from his memorable speech he shared with the graduating class of Stanford back in 2005:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”

In other words - go find the space to claim as your thinking spot!
